Silicone thermal pads have long been a pain point for assembly houses, very often requiring highly manual operations due to the soft and tacky nature of the silicone pieces. Ito worked closely with both material suppliers and end users to create a system able to automatically pick, place, and release from silicon thermal pads typically used in high-end applications, all without damaging the material or its heat transfer characteristics.
